2023 was an unfortunate year for me, I struggled with Plantar fasciitis whole year. I visited physiotherapy and searched a lot of stretches and exercises to treat the pain. However, the results were fluctuating, sometimes it got better, but sometimes it was still pain even I stopped running. Until the end of 2023, I finally tried out some stretches that worked for the pain. The stretches did not only focus on the calf, but also the quads and the waist.
I would not say now the pain is 100% recovered, but almost! 2024 is started with 40k weekly mileage to build up the aerobic base again. At the same time, I am figuring out the running posture that work best for me. I hope I can soon find my best running form to prevent from injury again. The training philosophy will be changed this year, hopefully I can run easy day "easy", and hard day "hard".
The goal is still there, HK 4 in 4 Challenge, is still on my list this year. with full focus and dedication. I am not sure if I will sign up any races this year, but those races will test the gap between the competitive level and myself. I wish I can come back to a competitive level this year.
